This exciting career opportunity is available to an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate to support the Director in developing, implementing and maintaining effective, efficient and transparent Supply Chain Management systems within SANBI in line with the requirements of the Public Finance Management Act.


The successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements: a three-year degree in Supply Chain management (a post graduate qualification will be a strong advantage), plus at least 5 – 10 years’ professional experience in the Supply Chain management field, of which (3) three years must be at middle management level. Knowledge of the Supply Chain Management frame work, the Public Finance Management Act & Treasury Regulations, as well as PPPFA, is essential.

Key responsibilities


  • Ensuring compliance to SCM Regulations
  • Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Supply Chain Management policies and delegations
  • Manage and develop the SCM staff
  • Management and facilitation of the bidding process
  • Administration of the quotations procedure in compliance with the SCM policy and National  Treasury guidelines
  • Development and management of suppliers and professional services database
  • Contract Management



SANBI offers an inclusive remuneration salary package of R657 558 per annum, of which 70% is basic and the balance is structured by the incumbent
